The Bella Mare villa-hotel complex offers beautifully maintained studios, offering accommodation for two persons and apartments for up to four guests, in exceptionally located surroundings in the pretty bay of Avlaki, on the charming North East coast. Set amongst landscaped gardens, the Bella Mare also offers a marvellous pool, optional breakfast in their restaurant and direct access on to Avlaki beach.

We don’t normally offer hotels amongst our property portfolio but feel that this lovely complex, in the beautiful area of Avlaki, offers our guests a special opportunity to stay in privately run accommodation, whilst also enjoying the comforts and amenities of a well-run hotel. The rooms and apartments are presented within separate, villa-type buildings, set amongst landscaped gardens and planted terraces. Each studio or apartment has a terrace, overlooking the gardens, large pool area and on to the neighbouring Avlaki Bay beach.

The accommodation is of a very high standard, offering large rooms, comfortable beds and divans, terrace furniture, a clean and efficient kitchenette and a fully tiled bathroom with a tub. The properties comprising Bella Mare’s apartments are laid out around extensive and well-maintained gardens and a delightful large pool offering loungers, sun-beds and a pool bar. If you wish, the hotel offers breakfast (€6) for the guests in its airy dining room.

The gardens provide direct access to the lovely Blue Flag winning beach of Avlaki. A gently shelving bay of dazzling white pebbles, the beach offers safe bathing and an excellent water sports centre where visitors can learn to windsurf under expert tuition, as well as two very good, family-run waterside tavernas. Avlaki gets quite busy on Sundays, when local Greeks arrive for lunch and a swim, but remains remarkably quiet for the rest of the week.

Avlaki is located between the fishing village of St Stephano and the lively, upmarket villa resort of Kassiopi on the sought-after North Eastern coast of Corfu. For a relaxing holiday in one of Corfu’s less well known but charming locations, and benefiting from the facilities of a well managed hotel, we believe the Bella Mare offers our guests an exceptional option.
