:: 3 Bedroom Villa
:: Sleeps 5 – 6 guests
| ||||||||||||||||||||||
| ||||||||||||||||||||||
The Villa Irene was built nearly 30 years
ago, carefully incorporating much of the traditional Corfiot
building style. The one storey house has a huge main
living/dining room with a fully equipped kitchen separated by a
breakfast bar constructed from old polished timbers, hung with
original Corfiot cooking pots of antique copper.
The kitchen has a full stove/oven, family
sized fridge and worktops of solid, hand-cut marble. Two sets
of French windows lead out to the terrace. Completely covered
by greenery, this outside “dining room” provides a
fresh, cool place to eat and you’ll find plenty of garden
furniture to slump out in.

Atop the villa is our roof terrace –
fantastic for serious sun worshippers but partially covered in
vine for those who wish to cool off. With its large wrought
iron day bed, draped with sheer nets, comfortable wooden
lounger chairs and pretty gauze screen curtains billowing in
the breeze, and with a barbecue and dining tables and the
overhead vines are hung with mirror'd wind chimes and pretty
solar-powered fairy lights, you can snooze away the afternoon
or create your own private taverna, catch the evening breeze
and watch out for shooting stars.

What Our Visitors Said
| ||||||||||||||||||||||
We loved the villa and felt very
comfortable. Could every guest get a Nikos clone to help them?
We couldn’t have managed without his advice and valued
his companionship. A truly memorable holiday!

All the antiques, paintings and
furnishings are personal and original and we ask you to look
after as well as enjoy them. The sitting and bedroom windows
have all been fitted with fly screens for your comfort and we
provide two fans (additional portable fans can be hired easily
and cheaply from local stores).
The hallway that leads to the 3 bedrooms:
one double, one twin and one single. All beds are canopied with
mosquito nets. The rooms are comfortably appointed, each with
plenty of wardrobe/hanging space and the double room having its
own ensuite shower room and WC. French doors lead out from each
bedroom to the covered terrace, a deliciously cool spot to sit
with a book. Irene (pronounced
Ee-ree-nee) means
“peace” – and many guests have found just
that at this lovely, old style country villa.

Newly created and sympathetically designed
to fit in with our existing garden,
we now offer our guests a delightful, cooling and invigorating
private pool and hydro-spa. Over 7.5 cubic metres of prettily
designed pool, with an integral seat within, the size and
dimension of the pool is perfect for a family and safe for
those with young (supervised) children. In addition to
providing a cooling plunge, we have also incorporated a system
of underwater jets and cascades which can be turned on as and
when required and which will provide a burst of stimulating but
relaxing hydrotherapy massage. The pool is backed with a
splendid and elegant wall of unpolished antique Egyptian
marble, providing a handsome backdrop to the spa and ensuring
total privacy for swimmers from the next door garden. The
semi-raised design of the pool walls surrounds guests with
flowers and butterflies.
